Objectifs du Symposium de l’Eau 2022

Cette année, l’UCLouvain préside le réseau RESCIF (Réseau d’Excellence des sciences de l’Ingénieur de la Francophonie) et a pris l’initiative d’organiser plusieurs activités scientifiques (ateliers, séminaires, …) afin de réunir les étudiant.e.s, chercheurs/chercheuses et professeur.e.s de toutes les universités participantes.

Dans ce contexte, nous organisons le Symposium de l’Eau à l’Aula Magna (Louvain La Neuve, Belgique) ces 31/03 et 01/04. Ce symposium se veut un hub pour les projets scientifiques autour de l’eau et s’articule autour de trois axes :

  1. Offrir une plateforme de partage d’expériences concernant les projets scientifiques pluridisciplinaires liés à (la gestion de) l’eau au sein de l’UCLouvain et du réseau RESCIF.
  2. Permettre des présentations, retours sur expérience et débats sur différents outils pédagogiques existants afin de former les étudiants à aborder l’eau de façon holistique (par exemple via le service Learning)
  3. Organiser un forum pour exposer les opportunités de mémoires(master thesis) et de stages liés à (la gestion de) l’eau, principalement dans les domaines de l’ingénierie et de l’économie. Les étudiants en master pourront découvrir les stages et sujets de mémoire possibles lors d’échanges avec les équipes de recherche.

Aspects pratiques

Veuillez trouver ci-dessous le programme. Les deux jours commencent à 9 heures. Le jeudi après-midi et le vendredi matin, les projets de thèse sont présentés en 180 secondes. Les pitchs sont donnés par trois et sont suivis d’une session de questions-réponses de 15 minutes. Veuillez trouver ICI également une liste préliminaire des résumés des travaux de recherche qui seront présentés.

Pour les participants sur site : 

  • Le catering est prévu pour le petit déjeuner à 9h, le midi et les pauses café. Merci de compléter CE FORM d’ici le vendredi 25 mars pour indiquer quand vous serez présents, afin que nous puissions prévoir des quantités suffisantes
  • Nous sommes invités par le festival de film “GO FUTURE” afin d’intervenir le jeudi 31/03 à 18h durant la séance de clôture du festival. Nous y présenterons les conclusions de notre première journée de symposium durant une présentation menée par Jean-Pierre Raskin et Sandra Soares.

Objectives of the RESCIF Water Symposium 2022

This year, UCLouvain chairs the RESCIF network (Réseau d’Excellence des sciences de l’Ingénieur de la Francophonie) and has taken the initiative to organise several scientific activities (workshops, seminars, …) in order to bring together students, researchers and professors from all participating universities.

In this context, we are organising the « Water Symposium » in the Aula Magna (Foyer Royal) on 31/03 and 01/04. This symposium is intended to be a hub for scientific projects on water and will be structured around three axes:

  1. To offer a platform for sharing experiences concerning multidisciplinary scientific projects related to water (management) within UCLouvain and the RESCIF network.
  2. To allow presentations, feedback and debates on different existing pedagogical tools in order to train students to approach water in a holistic way (e.g. via the Learning service)
  3. Organise a forum to showcase opportunities for master theses and internships related to water, mainly in the fields of engineering and economics. Master’s students will be able to find out about possible internships and dissertation topics during exchanges with research teams.

Practicalities

Please find attached the programme of the Water Symposium. Both days start at 9am. On Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, thesis projects are presented in 180 seconds. The pitches are given in threes and are followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. Please find HERE also a preliminary list of abstracts of the research papers to be presented.

For participants on site: 

  • Catering is provided for breakfast at 9am, lunch and coffee breaks. Please complete THIS FORM by Friday 25 March to indicate when you will be attending, so that we can plan for sufficient quantities.
  • We have been invited by the « GO FUTURE » film festival to speak on Thursday 31/03 at 6pm during the closing session of the festival. We will present the conclusions of our first day of symposium during a presentation led by Jean-Pierre Raskin and Sandra Soares.

For online participants: 

Participation certificates will be sent to you at the end of the symposium.
